WHY ME?

I try to be positive but keep attracting negative situations. Why?
I have so many questions, will I ever get answers?
Why do I have to go through all of this?
Will I be successful in my career(s)?
Why does GOD punish me?
What about true love?
Why must I suffer?
Will it end?

There are several methods we can use daily to help create a less stressful life. Let’s explore some of these methods:

Meditation

This is a very calming method, which requires no money.
All you need for this exercise is 10 minutes per day, and a quiet room!

Why Meditate?

The purpose of meditation is to make our mind calm and peaceful. If our mind is peaceful, we will be free from worries and mental discomfort, and so we will experience true happiness. If your mind is not peaceful, we will find it very difficult to be happy, even if we are living in the very best conditions.

If we train in meditation, our mind will gradually become more and more peaceful, and we will experience a purer form of happiness. Eventually, we will be able to stay happy all the time, even in the most difficult circumstances.

Usually we find it difficult to control our mind. It seems as if our mind is like a balloon in the wind - blown here and there by external circumstances. If things go well, our mind is happy, but if they go badly, it immediately becomes unhappy. This is actually not the case when you begin to meditate and gain a better understanding of who you are, and your inner emotions and feelings. Being "in touch" with your emotions, is very important, and this is what meditation helps accomplish

When you think of meditation, scratch out that image of someone sitting there saying "ohmmm" 50,000 times. It is not how it is! Meditation starts slow, and does NOT require 30+ mins each day! This is something that can (and should) begin in small bits. Taking a nice bath, closing your eyes and relaxing your mind - even for 3-5 minutes, is the first step to opening up the doors and allowing the advantages of meditation to enter your life. A "successful" meditation does NOT mean that you do not have thoughts racing through your head - matter of fact, you will! This is ok AND it's normal!

Meditation can help you in many ways, and on many levels.

Some of the spiritual benefits of meditation include:

  •  Helps you to take control of your own thoughts
  • Will help you with Detachment
  • Bring you a spiritual awareness and inner awareness
  • Peace of mind
  • Will help you with concentration and focus
  • Allowing your creative thoughts to manifest
  • Becoming closer with your guides and your higher self
  • Discovering the purpose of life

As  this site continues to grow throughout 2008, there will be an added section which will offer a downloadable MP3 file of a special meditation in which ChristopherP will help walk you through. In his readings, there will always be a meditative prayer of protection before all phone readings and this can help you as well. The phone reading "mini" meditation prayer will only last 1-3 minutes, but it will also help you to relax your mind, and you will feel so much of a difference, even in your own energy!

Such fluctuations of mood arise because we are too closely involved in the external situation. We are like a child making a sandcastle who is excited when it is first made, but who becomes upset when it is destroyed by the incoming tide. By training in meditation, we create an inner space and clarity that enables us to control our mind regardless of the external circumstances.

Gradually we develop mental equilibrium, a balanced mind that is happy all the time, rather than an unbalanced mind that oscillates between the extremes of excitement and despondency.

If we train in meditation systematically, eventually we will be able to eradicate from our mind the delusions that are the causes of all our problems and suffering. In this way, we will come to experience a permanent inner peace, known as "liberation" or "nirvana". Then, day and night in life after life, we will experience only peace and happiness.
